Every so often on my way into St. Johns, I need to stop at the B of A on N. Lombard for some cashola and see the wonderful Sweet Home Bar sign. There is always a great new message advertising food or an event. It makes me just love the creative use of signs by small businesses. Are you salivating yet? Now, is this a Cheeseburger or a CHE! Burger, you know, a revolutionary burger?
Too bad we didn’t plan our meetup for PJ night.

PJ party would have been awesome! We once had a pajama jammy jam which gave me the excuse to wear my foot-y pajamas (with kittens on it…WHERE my aunt found those, I will never know!).
It’s good to be comfy!
I love the Sweet Home too for its sign’s characterizations of what it suspects its patrons actually are: filthy drunk rednecks. But when you go inside, the filthy drunks are rarely rednecked.
This too: if you add “…and grill” to the name of this bar, you can totally sing it to the tune of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’.
