This Week’s Portland Radar Screen (Mythbusters Live, Santogold and Greek Fest)
The rains are here but that doesn’t mean you should sit at home this weekend. There are a ton of great things which should be on your radar screen:
Friday 10/3 Beer and Blog @ The Green Dragon (928 SE 9th) 4-6p. If you’re blogging in Portland and haven’t dropped by this weekly meet up, you’re missing out.
Sunday 10/5 Mythbusters Live (2pm at PCPA) - funny, explosive and engaging. Science was NEVER this fun.
Sunday 10/5 Santogold (8pm at The Crystal Ballroom) - I’ve been listening to her album constantly on my mp3 player and really love it. This is a band you won’t want to miss.
All Weekend Long :
The 57th Annual Greek Festival. Let’s just say The Holy Trinity Greek Othodox Cathedral knows how to throw a party!
The HP Lovecraft Film Festival. Literally world famous, this film fest is a must for any fans of the genre. Also don’t miss some of their ‘killer’ panels.

Thanks for the tips, Geoff!
Hey, there’s also the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome, Satuday 10/4 @ 10AM at the Rose Quarter. Rain or shine - cuz Portlanders aren’t made of sugar! Well, not most anyway. Come walk in a big circle and meet someone with DS.
Matt. Thanks for your addition. My list isn’t comprehensive, it’s just what I know about and what I think are notable… For runner’s there’s also the Portland Marathon, but I figured if you don’t know about that and wanted to do it… you’re SOL.
Thanks for the link to Beer and Blog, Geoff!
