New Art on 6th

It’s nice to see some art pieces returning to sections of the transit mall that have been bare for so long. This piece is being installed on SW 6th avenue, between Yamhill and Taylor.

Sadly, it doesn’t have the same kind of impact as the fountain that used to be across the street from its location, or “Soaring Stones”, which was located one block east.

Does anyone know if this is a new piece, or an existing sculpture that’s been relocated?

Not sure about this particular piece, but all the old art is supposedly going to be refurbished and re-installed (along with new art):

Oops, hit submit too soon.

The “Soaring Stones” piece you mentioned will not be re-installed, but will be returned to its owner due to “unavailability of appropriate site”.
